Dr. Xinhai Liu is currently Vice President of the Beijing Credit Society and Chief Researcher at the Global Digital Financial Center.
He received his PhD in Electronic Engineering from the University of Leuven (KUL) in Belgium. He previously served as an Associate Researcher at the Credit Reference Center of the People's Bank of China, Assistant Director of the Financial Intelligence Research Center at Peking University, and a Visiting Scholar at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE).
Dr. Xinhai Liu has worked in consulting and data analysis for European internet companies and financial analytics firms. He has led numerous national research projects, including those funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China. He has published dozens of professional papers in the fields of artificial intelligence, digital economy, and credit systems, both domestically and internationally, including in top journals such as IEEE TKDE, JASIST, IEEE PAMI, and Science China. He currently serves as a consultant to several AI and fintech companies and is co-editor-in-chief of the professional electronics journal named ”MyData Journal”.
Representative academic monographs include "Credit Reporting and Big Data" (2016, CITIC Press), "Credit Reporting Big Data: Theory and Practice," "Fintech Knowledge Graph" (March 2021, CITIC Press), "A History of American Credit Reporting: The Rise of the Data Economy and the Struggle for Personal Privacy" (June 2024, China Financial Publishing House), and "Regulatory Technology and Financial Network Analysis" (China Financial Publishing House, forthcoming).
His expertise lies in big data, financial technology, and artificial intelligence. He currently leads the AI R&D team at HYJZ Co., Ltd. (Beijing), incubated by the School of Intelligence, Peking University.
