Christopher Wilson is Executive Director of MyData Global, where he leads efforts to empower individuals’ rights around personal data and promote human‐centric models for data governance. Previously, he worked on governance assessment at the United Nations Development Programme and served as Senior Advisor for Evidence and Learning at the Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative. His academic work focuses on digital transformation in the public sector, especially exploring how trust and public engagement can help regulate emerging technologies. He is also co‐founder of the Responsible Data Forum and The Engine Room, non‐profit organisations committed to responsible data practices in advocacy and development.
