Description

There is a proliferation of technical and governance models being developed to facilitate data sharing and data spaces, but how do the different technologies and governance models come together in practice? Why do we need all those things at all? This session by the Data Spaces Support Centre (DSSC), VTT and the Open Data Institute (ODI) explores the evolving tech stack for sovereign data sharing through real-world use cases.

Building on demonstrations from DSSC and the Solid community, we will show how diverse protocols, connectors, and platforms can interoperate to form a larger ecosystem of trustworthy data spaces. The session will highlight both the technical building blocks and the governance frameworks needed to enable adoption and scale.

Join us for a forward-looking discussion on how complementary approaches can reinforce each other and create connected ecosystems.

Speakers:

  • Viivi Lähteenoja, Senior Advisor, MyData Global (moderator)
  • Sebastian Steinbuß, Lead Architect and CTO, IDSA
