Workshop title: Towards sustainable business models for data intermediation
Description:
Data intermediation is rapidly taking shape as a crucial enabler for the data economy, yet significant challenges remain at both national and European levels. These challenges span across and within sectors, including legal complexities, governance issues, technical barriers and questions around monetisation and sustainable business models.
This workshop will build on Athumi as a case study, extended by challenges at a European level. It offers a collaborative platform for participants to engage in co-creation, share knowledge, and deepen their understanding of the current data intermediation landscape. The sessions aims to uncover challenges, and most importantly solutions, in national and European data intermediation within and across sectors.
Through interactive breakout sessions, attendees explore sector-specific and regional requirements, barriers to cross-border data intermediation, and strategies to scale local capabilities across the EU. The workshop aims to identify gaps and opportunities, connect players in the data intermediation space across Europe, and foster a robust ecosystem for data collaboration and innovation.
Participants:
- Players in the data intermediation industry (national level, sector level, cross-sectoral level, EU and international level),
- Players that are seeking data intermediation services or are facing data intermediation challenges.
